Ruling Samajwadi Party today received a shot in its arm when Senior BJP leader and former Union minister Ashok Pradhan joined the party in presence of party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav.

Along with Pradhan, another senior BJP leader from Sidharthnagar district Prem Prakash Tiwari alias Gippy Tiwari also joined the SP.

Tiwari,is three time BJP MLA from Doomariaganj assembly segement.

SP president Yadav welcoming both the leaders in the party immediately appointed Pradhan as the party national general secretary.

Pradhan talking to media persons here, said that the dedicated workers and leaders of the BJP were forced to leave the party due to the inner groupism to grab the party and ouster of Atal- Advani.

Without taking the name of former UP CM Kalyan Singh, Pradhan said that BJP was giving prominence to that leader who had abused Atal Bihari Vajpayee and even claimed to bury the BJP.

" I will delicately work for the SP in this elections," he said.

Pradhan has won the 1996,1998,1999 and 2004 lok Sabha elections from Khurja seat in Bulandshahr district and was the minister in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government. Bulandshahr goes to polls in the first phase of elections in UP on April 10.
