Digvijay Singh appeals to people to vote for Naveen Jindal
Digvijay Singh, former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh and AICC General Secretary made an appeal to the people to vote for Congress candidate Naveen Jindal of Kurukshetra Lok Sabha constituency and said that he is the only MP in the county who spends money from his pocket to execute social service schemes.
Addressing an election meeting in Rajaund village of this district today, he said that Mr Jindal had rendered exemplary services to the people.
"He was as good a polltician as a social workers," he observed.
"Mr Jindal served the people from within the parliament as well from outside," Mr Singh said.
No one had ever said that Mr Jindal was in politics to make money,he claimed.
Mr Singh also lavished praise on Mr Jindal's father, the late O P Jindal who too had a motivation to serve the people.
He had passed his legacy to his son who deserved a third term in the Lok Sabha,he added.
Mr Singh said he was proud of the fact that the Congress had made a law to ensure food security for all, he said.
The election in Kurukshetra is scheduled on April 10.
