Problem for the Uttar Pradesh Congress is yet to die,as now the party was forced to expel president of the Meerut city Congress for anti-party activities just couple of days away from the polls.

Meerut city congress president Saleem Bharati was expelled from the party for six years today, UPCC here said in a press statement.

UPCC has also removed all the officials appointed by Saleem Bharati in the organisation. The action was taken on the complaint by party candidate from Meerut and Bollywood star Nagma. As per reports from Meerut the Congress city president is said to be working for the Samajwadi Party candidate in the elections.

Meerut goes to polls in the first phase of elections on April 10. Earlier on Friday last, Congress candidate from Gautam Buddha Nagar seat Ramesh Chandra Tomar had joined the BJP giving a major embarrassment for the party.
