BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today met former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at his residence in the national capital this evening to seek the former Prime Minister's blessings ahead of filing nomination papers for Vadodara Lok Sabha seat for coming Lok Sabha polls on April 9.


Earlier, Mr Modi tweeted that he will file his nomination papers for Vadodara Lok Sabha seat on April 9.

Mr Modi also in his tweet said he will meet Mr Vajpayee at his residence to seek his blessings.

Mr Modi also congratulated party's workers on the occasion of 'Vijay Sankalp Divas'.

''Congratulations on Vijay Sankalp Diwas. I bow to lakhs of Karyakartas(party workers) who have selflessly devoted themselves to build BJP over the years,'' Mr Modi posted on twitter.
