The marathon talks between the leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Telugu Desam Party on forging alliance for the ensuing general elections here tonight. However, the outcome of the talks is not known. BJP national spokesman Prakash Javadekar led the BJP team, while the TDP was represented by Y Ramakrisnudu, Ramana and E Dayakar Rao.

After the conclusion of the talks, the TDP leaders drove to the Jubilee Hills residence of the party chief N Chandrababu Naidu to brief him about the talks.

The talks between the leaders of the two parties ended on a cordial note, according to TDP sources.

Earlier in the day, BJP leaders from eight Telangana districts opposed any seat-sharing tie-up with TDP. They even threatened to quit on the issue.
