Jaya asks voters to caste votes in favour of AIADMK
AIADMK supremo and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa today called upon the voters to caste their votes in favour of ruling AIADMK in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections, in order to protect the interest of the state and its people besides to protect the country.
Addressing a well-attended electioneering meeting here, Ms Jayalalithaa pointed out that mandate for the party was vital as it would help it play a national role and at the same time it would enable the party to safeguard the welfare of Tamil Nadu by forming Cauvery Management Board and Cauveri Monitoring Authority to solve the river-water sharing dispute with Karnataka.
She said the zeal seen among the voters now to root out the Congress and the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) was akin to that seen during the Independence struggle to remove the British regime.
