Meryl Streep reveals shock over Emma Thompson' Oscar snub
Meryl Streep has revealed that she was shocked when she got to know that Emma Thompson wasn't recognized by the Academy Awards for her role in 'Saving Mr Banks'.
The 64-year-old actress said on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' that she was really shocked and wrote a long, heartfelt email to Thompson saying how bad she felt, to which the actress wrote back "good", the Daily Express reported.
Streep also confessed that her own nomination was unexpected, saying that she is very "old news", and that there were a lot of surprises and injustices in the nominations, as there were many great performances.
