Vikramaditiya Singh, State Youth Congress President, today said Congress was not a party, but a movement of national reconstruction carrying with it all sections of the society and women empowerment was its top priority.

Addressing public meetings at Tikka Sahib in Shahpur and Kholi near here, Mr Singh said that Congress was eager to provide reservation to the women in Lok Saba and state assemblies.

Targeting women voters, he said Congress brought Right to food Act, besides increasing the LPG cylinder number from 9 to 12.

Mr Singh counted the achievements of Congress government in the state for the last more than a year and the achievements of UPA government during the last one decade.

He said without any discrimination, Congress developed both the upper and lower regions of this hill state.

Shanta Kumar, who was opposing the BJP leadership in the state earlier, has now started praising the party after he was offered a ticket, Mr Singh alleged.
