Governor's advisers take charge in secretariat
Even as the tenure of the Presidents Rule in Andhra Pradesh is being debated, two senior bureaucrats, former Maharashtra DGP A N Roy and former CS of Rajasthan Salauddin Ahmed, who were appointed as advisers to Governor E S L Narasimhan by the Union Home Ministry commenced their functioning today from the state secretariat.
A N Ray is looking into all security issues in bifurcation and also general elections like law and order, security in Maoist
infested areas, VIP security and also division of police forces
and allied organisations.
Salauddin Ahmed is in charge of all other administrative issues like social welfare, finance, personnel, Industries, Excise. He will also supervise the implementations of the social welfare programs.
Both have been accommodated in the Dilkusha guest house adjacent to Raj Bhavan and also given separate chambers in D-Block of the secretariat and a select staff has been appointed
as their ministerial subordinates who report only to CS and Governor.
