Congress will retain power at Centre
Former Union Minister and Congress candidate Vincent H Pala exuded confidence that his party will win the upcoming elections and retain power at the Centre again.
"There are several politicians who had earlier tried and failed in their attempts of bringing down the Congress by spreading false propaganda but they will fail again," Mr Pala said who is seeking his mandate from Shillong parliamentary constutiuency in Meghalaya.
Attacking the BJP for its Hindutva campaign to woo voters, the former Union Minister said, "Policies, research and the development work done by a party are more important than religion, name calling and criticism which is often used by several parties to lure voters."
Mr Pala also stated that India has the largest number of youth voters currently and they will be the ones who will shape the future of the country.
He also admitted that the current generation of young voters are not satisfied with the politicians and added that the party is well aware of the situation and is working on several policies to solve their problems.
On allegations of corruption against the Congress, Mr Pala said that the party was the one which implemented the Right to Information (RTI) for everyone to find out the truth and added that the party had nothing to hide.
Moreover, he also assured farmers that FDI in Retail will be beneficial for them and help them financially by removing the threat of the middlemen.
