S Sridhar, Secretary of the Tiruchirapalli district unit of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), today filed his nomination for Tiruchirapalli Lok Sabha constituency before the returning officer and the Tiruchirapalli District Collector Jayashree Muralidharan.

Party's Pudukkottai District Secretary M Chinnadurai filed his nomination as CPI(M)'s dummy candidate.

Natarajan, former President of Thiruchirapalli district unit of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) also filed his nomination for the Tiruchirapalli Lok Sabha, while M Badhusha of Tiruchirapalli submitted his papers as an independent candidate today.

So far, nine people, including ruling AIADMK, DMK and CPI (M) candidates have filed their nomination for the Tiruchirapalli Lok Sabha constituency.

The general elections for 39 seats in Tamil Nadu will be held on April 24.
