BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi will be addressing a public meeting in the city on April 8, ahead of April 16 Lok Sabha poll in Karnataka.
The public meeting will be held at Bommanahalli industrial hub and he would be seeking votes for BJP candidates from Bangalore rural, Bangalore, south, Bangalore North, Bangalore central and Chikballapur, former Deputy Chief Minister R Ashok said.
Speaking to reporters here, after releasing party manifesto for Chikballapur segment, he expressed confidence of the BJP winning all the five segments in the Bangalore division.
He took exception to the remarks made by Jnanpith award winner Girish Karnad who said BJP General Secretary H N Ananth Kumar was 'lacking in spunk'.
'I do not know whether Mr Karnad has the knowledge of Mr Kumar's work but he has developed a penchant for criticising people just for the sake of it,' Mr Ashok added.
