Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President G Parameshar today said there was no Modi wave in Karnataka and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi has been repeatedly visiting the state for campaign just to create an impression that there was a wave.

Talking to newsperson during his tour of election campaign in North Karnataka, he alleged that money has been distributed to bring people to Modi's rally everywhere. As there has been no local leadership in Karnataka, the BJP has been carrying the placards and banners containing the portrait of Mr Modi.

He expressed his faith in the voters of Karnataka that they would elect 22 Congress candidates out of 28 during the current election and refuted the allegation that party has entered into internal negotiations with JD(S) and alleged that it was the BJP which has done this.

He said Congress has always been a united party and there was no disunity in the party and all workers and leaders of Congress have been working for it.
