Jaya refutes charge of Industrialists migrating to Karnataka
AIADMK General Secretary and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa today categorically said none of the industrialists in Coimbatore have decided to invest in Karnataka.
Addressing an election rally here, Ms Jayalalithaa said Karnataka Chief Minister K Siddaramaiah had invited industrialists to start units in Chamarajanagar.
Industrialists in Coimbatore had attended that meeting. However, nothing was decided as to who would set up a factory or the extent of land to be allotted.
Ms Jayalalithaa claimed there was no infrastructure in Chamarajanagar for setting up industries.
She said industrialists who attended the investor meet held early this year later said they were invited for the meeting and hence they went there.
Ms Jayalalithaa said it was only the DMK which was spreading false information amongst people that industrialists from the state were migrating to Karnataka.
