Dudhsagar Dairy achieves Rs 4254 cr turnover, 25% growth over last year
Dudhsagar Dairy, the Mehsana District Cooperative Milk Producers Union Ltd (GCMMF) which are themakers of Amul brand of milk and milk products, has achieved a Rs 4254.29 crore turnover in the 2013-14 financial year, registering a 25 per cent growth over the previous year.
Dudhsagar Dairy operates five dairies of which three are large dairies -- Mehsana Dairy (25 lakh litres a day capacity), Dudhmansagar Dairy, Manesar Haryana (10 lakh litres a day) and Dudhmotisagar Dairy, Dharuhera (15 lakh litres a day, expandable to 30 lakh litres).
There are two other dairies at Patan and Kadi with two lakh litres per day capacities.
Besides, Dudhsagar Dairy has Cattle Feed factories at Jagudan and Ubkal with a total installed capacity of 1450 MT a day, of which the largest is at Jagudan, having 1000 MT/per day capacity.
Dudhsagar Dairy, Mehsana, had a turnover of Rs 1544.13 in 2012-2013 and Rs 2071.68 in 2013-14 while Dudhmansagar Dairy, Manesar, had a turnover of Rs 1301.10 crore in 2012-2013 and Rs 1319.18 in 2013-2014.
