The 107th birthday of Sree Sivakumara Swamiji of Siddaganga Math was celebrated with reverence by thousands of devotees at the Siddaganga Math here today.

The centenarian seer, often called the 'Walking God,' runs hundreds of educational institutions from medical colleges to kindergarten.

Besides providing free education, he also feeds more than 15,000 children from poor families at his Ashram.

Even as thousands of devotees made a beeline to the old Siddaganga Math, where they performed 'puja' at the feet of the seer, top politicians queued up to take the blessings of the seer and this included a number of Lok Sabha candidates from all parties fighting the April 17 Lok Sabha polls in Karnataka.

The senior seer sat for hours to accept the gratitude by people who represented all religions and social strata.
