Bareilly is more developed than Rae Bareli: Narendra Modi
BJP prime minsterial candidate Narendra Modi today claimed that Bareilly is more developed than the other -- Rae Bareli-- led by a big politician.
He said people know Rae Bareli but why forget Bareilly. "Rae Bareli has elected such strong leaders but see development there and in comparison Santosh Gangwar, the present BJP candidate has done a wonderful job in the past which has surpassed Rae Bareli."
He also asked the people of Bareilly how their lives have changed in the past 10 years and blamed the UPA govenment for the miseries of the people.
"The UPA government is solely to be blamed for the miseries of the people as during the past 10 years problems of the common people have increased," he said during an election meeting.
The Gujarat Chief Minister said, "UP CM asked for lions from Gujarat. We gave the lions, hoping he will gain some courage but we were mistaken. Now the lions are caged. I invite Netaji and his family to visit Gir. Our lions are not caged they roam around freely."
Mr Modi also blamed the UPA government over lack of spirit of Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan. "It is unfortunate that soldiers are getting killed by terrorists and government is doing nothing," he said.
Hitting out at the dismal condition of local kite industry, Mr Modi said, "We have taken Gujarat's kite industry to Rs 500 crore and this has helped the poor particularly the Muslims who are involved in the industry."
He also apologised to the people for being late and said he was sitting at Delhi airport since 0930 hrs, but his chopper was not given permission to take off.
