Antony rules out Chandy's resignation over HC remarks
Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy need not resign in the wake of adverse Kerala High Court remarks over Kadakampally land scam allegedly involving his former gunman Salim Raj, Congress Working Committee member and Defence Minister A K Antony today said.
Talking to reporters here, he said the adverse court remarks would not impact the Congress-led ruling United Democratic Front government in the April 10 general elections in the state.
The Kerala Government had filed an appeal before the High Court seeking to expunge adverse remarks made by a single judge against the Chief Minister and his office while ordering a CBI probe in two land grabbing cases.
