Attacking the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Sunday said the opposition party is all about big talks.

Addressing a rally in Lakhimpur in Assam, Gandhi said, "The opposition, particularly the BJP, are indulging in big talk but what did their government do when they were in power at the Centre? There is a big difference between talking and working."

She said the BJP is undermining the 'Ganga-Jamuna' culture of India.

The Congress supremo said the UPA government has fulfilled its promises.

"We have always accomplished and fulfilled all our promises. We have given Food Security Bill, MNREGA to the poor," Gandhi said.

She said, "We do not make false promises. What we promise, we deliver. The Congress believes in 'Har Haath Shakti, Har Haath Tarakki (Each hand is power, each hand is progress)."

She said the Congress has shed blood and indulged in nation-building since independence.

"Where were the BJP and others then? There was no sign of the opposition either before or after independence. They are just engaged in division of the country," Gandhi slammed.
