Infosys founder Narayana Murthy has said he will not campaign for his colleagues -Nandan Nilekani and V Balakrishnan- who are contesting the Lok Sabha polls.

"I am apolitical. As the executive chairman of Infosys, I have to treat every political party with equal respect. We should be working with every government irrespective of what there hue is," Murthy told CNN-IBN channel.

However, he said professionals like Nilekani and Balskrishnan are required in politics for more innovation.

"We must salute them as we need changes even in politics," he said.

Praising them over their tasks as professionals, he said, "We need such people in politics too. I wish them the best. I want them to succeed."

While Nandan Nilekani is contesting on a Congress ticket from Bangalore South, V Balakrishnan is facing the polls on an AAP ticket from Bangalore Central.
