Hours after Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal visited Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh and said he will fight the Lok Sabha polls from the constituency, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sushil Kumar Modi attacked him and said the former Delhi CM 'dramatise' everything.


"Kejriwal dramatise everything thinking everybody is fool.Why this drama that he will ask people of Varansi & then will decide candidature," Sushil Kumar Modi tweeted.

Addressing a rally in Varanasi's Benia Bagh, Kejriwal said: "I will fight against Modi in Varanasi,"

The former Delhi chief minister also invited Modi to debate with him.

"I and Narendra Modi, both will be fighting elections from Varanasi, so I invite him for a debate," he said.

He said he has no ambition to become an MP.

"I challenge Modi to come and do a debate with me," Kejriwal said.

He also asked the people of Varanasi to aid him financially as he claimed to have no money to fight the election.

The AAP later tweeted: "Thumping support for @ArvindKejriwal in his fight against @narendramodi. Nearly 45 lakhs in donations received today - #KejriwalinVaranasi."

Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday reached Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh to name the party's candidate to be pitted against BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi from the constituency in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
