New Delhi, March 14 : Anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare Friday said that he skipped the Trinamool Congress rally at Ramlila Maidan as he was mislead by the organizers. He also said that he does not support any political party.
Hazare told media here that he individually like Trinamool chief Mamata Banerjee as she is the best of all the chief ministers of the country but he does not support her party.
He said he was misled by the organizers of the rally as he was told it was organized by Banerjee.
Terming it "dhokadhadi" (betrayal), Hazare said when he came to Delhi, he found such a low gathering at the place where he had staged a protest to demand the Jan Lokpal Bill. He said he thought something was wrong, so he decided to skip the rally.
Banerjee, however had given the reason of Hazare being "unwell" for his skipping the rally. She had to face a lot of embarrassment as the rally turned out to be as a flop show with small gathering at the huge ground which has a capacity of over 50,000 people.
