New Delhi, Mar 14 : Union Minister Kapil Sibal on Friday said if Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s prime ministerial candidate Narenda Modi is confident about the Muslim votes in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls then he should contest form Azamgarh constituency in Uttar Pradesh.

" Am curious, if there's a strong Modi wave, how come he needs a 'safe seat'? If he's so sure of Muslim support, why not stand from Azamgarh? " Sibal tweeted.

Azamgarh Lok Sabha constituency is located in the politically crucial Uttar Pradesh.

The BJP has not yet announced the seat from which Modi will contest the upcoming LS polls.

India's main opposition party on Thursday announced its third list of candidates for the Lok Sabha polls.
