"Congress workers attacked AAP supporters"

New Delhi/Amethi, Mar 14 : Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Kumar Vishwas alleged that Congress workers attacked the party convoy in Uttar Pradesh's Amethi constituency while he was campaigning for the Lok Sabha polls on Friday.

He said attackers beat up AAP workers and destroyed his vehicle.

"Sinsurva (JagdiishPur) me Cong ke Gundon ka Hamla.Mera prachar vahan tod diya hai.bahut buri tarah Mara hai sathiyon ko," Kumar Vishwas tweeted.

" Sathiyon ki buri tarah pitai... bahut ghatak humla hai... well planned. (Friends were badly beaten up...It was a lethal attack....well planned)," he said.

Reacting to the incident, AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal tweeted: "Kumar vishwas car attacked. Volunteers also attacked. We have to change this politics of violence."

He said: "Kumar, u r fighting a difficult battle. People r wid u."

Party leader Manish Sisodia said he will go to Amethi.

Sisodia tweeted: "Kumav vishwas and other friends attacked brutaly in Amethi. I am Going to Amethi right now."

He said: "Is this a way Congress want to make Rahul Gandhi win from Amethi? Attack on Kumar and AAP volunteers. Jaan de denge lekin jhukenge nahi! (We will sacrifice our lives but won't bow down)."

Kumar Vishwas is contesting the Lok Sabha polls from Amethi.

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi will contest from the same Lok Sabha constituency.
