Jammu and Kashmir: AAP rally attacked, 5 injured

By Saleem Iqbal Qadri, Srinagar, Mar 9 : At least five people were injured as some unknown people attacked an Aam Admi Party (AAP) rally in north Kashmir's Bandipora district on Sunday.
The rally led by party's Lok Sabha candidate for Srinagar-Budgam constituency, Raja Muzzafar Bhat, came under an intense stone pelting attack near Public School when AAP workers were marching towards the main square after concluding the workers convention.
The attackers chased AAP activists and forced them to take refuge in a local police station where they lodged a formal complaint.
The complaint has been lodged against few local political activists, sources said.
"Hundreds of AAP activists led by Dr Raja Muzzafer were taking out a rally towards main market. Before we reached Gulshan Chowk, few unidentified youths hurled stones towards the rally," Mushtaq, who represents the AAP in the district, said .
Meanwhile, AAP Lok Sabha Candidate Raja Muzzafar Bhat said they will not go down with the attack and their mission is to help common people.
