Suspected unidentified gunmen on Saturday evening opened fire on a vehicle of the Commanding Officer of Army's 32 Rashtriya Rifles in Kushpora area of Baramulla district in north Kashmir, reports said.

Sources said that Commanding officer of 32 RR Amit informed police that his party was attacked by militants at Khuspora Village when he was on way to Base Camp Watergam Rafiabad.

Sources further added that to nab attackers, the Army and police have launched a search operation in the area.

Confirming the attack, Superintendent of Police Abdul Qayoom said that the officer informed them about the attack on him last night.

He added that the whole area is under search operation.

The cop said that no one was injured in the attack.
