Jammu and Kashmir: Geelani unwell, people pray for his speedy recovery

By Saleem Iqbal Qadri, Srinagar March 8 : The followers of ailing Hurriyat (G) Chairman Syed Ali Geelani in some areas of Srinagar were seen sacrificing goats for his speedy recovery on Saturday.
According to reports, people bought goats and sacrificed them amid special prayers for Geelani's recovery.
"We are praying for the well being of our leader," said one present while a Goat was being sacrificed.
Eighty five- year-old Geelani is unwell for the last three days.
He was examined by two teams of doctors at his residence but he refused to get hospitalized.
Geelani's family sources said that he has developed severe infections in his chest and has lost almost ten kilograms of weight.
Geelani has also developed severe pain in his back.
Meanwhile, JKLF chairman, Mohammad Yasin Malik, Hurriyat (JK) leaders, Shabir Ahmad Shah, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Moulana Mohammad Abdullah Tari
and Mushtaq-ul-Islam, on Saturday went to Hyderpora to see Geelani.
All the separatist leaders spent some time with Geelani and enquired about his health.
