Ramkripal Yadav quits Lalu's RJD
Disgruntled Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Ramkripal Yadav on Saturday resigned from all party posts after he was reportedly denied a ticket in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
"I am still a member of RJD. But I have resigned from all party posts," Ramkripal Yadav told reporters.
According to reports, RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav gave a ticket to his daughter Misa Bharti instead of Ramkripal Yadav to contest the Lok Sabha polls from Pataliputra constituency.
"RJD is all about family politics, it seems. The party chief announced a new candidate from my own constituency and that too without consulting me. Still, I supported him," said Ramkripal Yadav.
"It was not that I was eager to fight the elections. But the people of my constituency wanted me to," he added.
