The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is likely to announce its second list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections on Saturday.

"The candidate for Varanasi seat is likely to be decided as there were reports that the party's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi may contest from senior party leader Murli Manohar Joshi's constituency," reported CNN-IBN.

According to BJP sources, party president Rajnath Singh might be contesting the elections from Lucknow instead of Ghaziabad constituency.

The main opposition party of India had unveiled its first list of candidates in February. It contained names of 54 candidates.
