Army generals, soldiers joining hands with BJP to save India: Capt. Abhimanyu
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Captain Abhimanyu Singh on Saturday confirmed that former army chief Gen. (Retired) V.K. Singh and several other armed forces ex-officers and soldiers would be joining the party.
"Several army generals and soldiers are coming together to fight for the nation. They are coming forward to protect the nation from internal dangers, and therefore, they are joining hands with the BJP to save India," said Captain Abhimanyu Singh.
"With this, India will not only be saved, but also evolve as a superpower. For a long time, there has been a politics done over untouchability and castes in India and it only resulted in dynasty politics, corruption and inflation," he said.
"There must be a stable and deciding government now and that is only possible with the NDA under the leadership of Narendra Modi. I am glad that good sense is finally prevailing in the sense of politics in India," he added.
Gen. (retired) Singh will head to the BJP headquarters from the Amar Jawan Jyoti at India Gate to officially join the BJP.
Over one hundred former army and air force officers are expected to be a part of Gen. (retired) Singh's march.
