Patna, Feb 27 : An FIR was lodged here Thursday against 200 unidentified people in connection with the stone pelting at Bihar assembly Speaker Uday Narain Choudhary's house by Rashtriya Janata Dal workers.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar Wednesday night said that the government would look into the matter and take action.
"Everything is there in the video footage and movement of every individual has been recorded on camera, action will be initiated for violation of any law," he said.
"Will identify attackers on the basis of video footage," police said.
Choudhary's house was attacked Tuesday by RJD workers during a march led by party chief Lalu Prasad and his 16 legislators to protest the bid to split the party.
It was first time that the house of a speaker was attacked in a protected area in Patna.
Pained by this, Choudhary said that his house was attacked because he hails from the Mahadalit caste, the poorest among the Dalits.
Choudhary said his decision to recognise the legislators as a separate group was interim, and based on "rules and provisions".
Recalling that 13 of 22 RJD legislators submitted a letter with their signatures, demanding recognition as a separate group, the speaker said nine of the 13 submitted letters to the assembly secretary Tuesday, saying they were still with the RJD.
"I will study their letters and then give a final decision soon," he said.
