Lok Sabha polls: LJP ties up with BJP in Bihar

Patna, Feb 26 : Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) on Wednesday entered into an alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Bihar.

LJP president Ram Vilas Paswan will announce his re-entry into the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) later on Wednesday.

He will contest in 8 seats in Bihar.

He will meet BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Thursday.

Earlier, Paswan had said the Congress and the LJP are natural alliance partners.

On Jan 11, he had met Congress supremo Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi in order to discuss the issue of alliance in Bihar.

"Congress is our natural ally. We respect both Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi," Paswan told reporters.
