With the Lok Sabha polls drawing closer, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is leaving no stone unturned to woo voters with party chief Rajnath Singh offering to apologise for any mistakes made by the party.

Addressing a gathering of Muslims in New Delhi, Singh said,"Whenever there is any doubt in your minds, please ask us. We often make mistakes. But I can assure you that whenever we make mistakes, we will bow our head down and apologise."

He also asked the Muslim community to give the party a chance to come to power.

The remarks were seen as an attempt to attract minority voters in the party's "Modi for PM: 272" campaign.

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi is BJP's prime ministerial candidate.
