Seven Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militants were killed during a gunfight with security forces in a forested area in north Kashmir on Monday, which is some 90 kms away from state's summer capital Srinagar.

Meanwhile Srinagar based defense spokesperson Lt Col NN Joshi told IBNS that the Army's 7 RR patrol was fired upon by a group of militants in the forest area and they retaliated by effective firing resulting in killing of 7 unidentified militants.
