A Chinese delegation headed by Vice Minister for International Cooperation Department Ai Ping met Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Rajnath Singh ahead of general elections with an aim to strive for a peaceful and stable international environment favourable to Indo-Chinese relations.


Ai Ping has been visiting India to build on the mutual respect and cooperation between countries.

On Tuesday, Ai Ping visited Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) in Islamabad where he talked of strengthening the traditional freidnship between Bejing and Islamabad.

Earlier this month Chinese state councillor Yang Jiechi had too visited New Delhi on Februray 11 and said China looked forward to strengthen bilateral ties with India and to work in harmony on the five principles of peaceful co-existence - a pact formed by the two countries 60 years ago.
