Kejriwal says Delhi Assembly disruption exposed nexus of BJP and Congress

New Delhi, Feb.13 : Reacting to the disruption in the Delhi Assembly, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday said that the incident exposed nexus between Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) who have been brought together by Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani.

"Congress and BJP is the name of a system, and the nexus between the Congress and BJP has been exposed today. It is because of Mukesh Ambani that these two parties have come together," said Kejriwal.

"Today there was match fixing between the Congress and the BJP. Both the party members are working together and are trying to defend Ambani but have failed to do it," he said.

"Congress says that it is supporting the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) but it is actually supporting the BJP. It was a well coordinated move. The BJP and Congress both kept coming to the well at a break of five minutes. After that both the parties started suspending the power of the speakers," he added.

The Delhi assembly on Thursday was disrupted as BJP MLAs trooped into the well of the house demanding resignation of Delhi Law Minister Somnath Bharti, in context of the midnight raid conducted by him involving African women, forcing the speaker to adjourn the proceedings twice.

BJP legislators objected to the speaker's reference of "special session" to the proceedings in his introductory address. They demanded for it to be addressed as the budget session.

The session has been called for passage of contentious anti-corruption legislation Jan Lokpal Bill and Swaraj Bills proposed by Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government.

The notice was read out by speaker MS Dhir.

The speaker had told BJP members that his ruling would be given after getting Bharti's response. But BJP MLAs started protesting against Bharti beforehand and trooped into the well of the house.
