AAP in crisis over MLA withdrawal
Ahead of tabling its much touted Jan Lokpal bill, Independent MLA Rambeer Shokeen withdrew support to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Delhi on Monday, plunging it into a crisis and making it a minority government.
AAP had 28 seats on its own besides the support of Shokeen- now withdrawn- while it is backed by the eight Congress legislators.
In the 70-member assembly now Kejriwal's government has support of 35 MLAs.
Shokeen had earlier threatened to withdraw support.
AAP MLA Vinod Kumar Binny was expelled by the outfit for anti-party activities earlier.
