The five-day biennial international naval exercise 'Milan 2014' concluded off Port Blair Sunday with the passing-off exercise.

The event ended with Andaman and Nicobar Command chief, Air Marshal P.K. Roy, aboard the INS Saryu, seeing off the 16 ships including nine foreign vessels that participated in the event.

Six Indian ships - Saryu, INS Kesari, INS Investigator, INS Battimalv, INS Baratang and INS Bangaram - participated in the passing off exercise to send off the foreign navy ships.

Navies from 16 nations including Australia, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Myanmar and Singapore took part in the event held at the Andaman coast from Feb 5.

The Myanmar navy ship after participating in the passing off exercise stayed back as it will later participate in a joint patrol exercise with the Indian Navy till Feb 15.
