ABVP asks KBC to apologise for calling it BJP's student wing

New Delhi, Oct 12 : Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has demanded public apology from the producers of TV show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) for claiming that the outfit is a student wing of BJP.

During the yesterday's episode, in reply to one of the questions, it was said that the ABVP is a student wing of BJP.

In a statement issued today, ABVP general secretary Umesh Dutt said "the Parishad is not a student wing of BJP but an independent student organisation registered on July 9, 1949, whereas the BJP was founded in 1980".

He has sought public apology from the producers of the show for its claim and also demanded that this "misleading information" be clarified on the show within a week.

"Otherwise we will go for legal action," he said. (UNI -Posted on / )
