JK Rowling unveils 'Pottermore' website to launch e-book format
With the website, the 45-year-old author, already said to be worth 1billion dollars, is likely to rake in another few millions.
The site will be the only place where readers will be able to purchase the electronic versions of her books.
However, Rowling insisted that her main motive was to give something back to her readers.
"I wanted to give something back to the fans that have followed Harry so devotedly over the years," the Daily Mail quoted her as saying.
"Pottermore is a way for the creativity to live on and a way for me to be creative on a platform that did not exist when I started writing the books," she said.
"I knew there was a demand for e-books but I wanted to be more than that. I wanted to pull it back to reading and the story experience," she added.
She has written exclusive, previously unpublished material for the online project, but ruled out another novel about the adventures of the boy wizard. (ANI -Posted on / )
