India to seek answers from Pak on Headley revelations

New Delhi, Jun 20 : External Affairs Minister S M Krishna today said issues arising out of revelations made by Lashkar operative and accused in the Mumbai terror attacks, David Coleman Headley would be raised by India during the coming Foreign Secretary-level talks between the two countries at Islamabd.

He also attacked Pakistan over the slow pace of trial of the Mumbai attacks accused.

''Whatever Headley revealed would be relevant for India in its coming talks with Pakistan. That certainly will be taken up with Pakistan,'' Mr Krishna said, talking to reporters before leaving for Myanmar on a two-day visit.

Headley during his testimony in a Chicago court had asserted among other things that he had been helped by the ISI in planning the 26/11 strikes in Mumbai.

Mr Krishna said the issue of terror would be central in the talks.

''This menace has to be dealt with firmly and transparently, for the common good of India and Pakistan, as well as, the region beyond,'' he emphasised.

When asked whether he was satisfied with the progress made in the trial of Mumbai terror accused in Pakistan, Mr Krishna said India had completed trial of the accused in its custody, Pakistan was yet to do that.

''It is a sad commentary on what was happening there,'' he said. (UNI -Posted on / )
