Chennai, May 7 (UNI) Following is the summary of observations recorded by the weather office here at 0830 hrs today: Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu and South Interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Lakshadweep and dry weather prevailed over Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Coastal and North Interior Karnataka.

Hunsur (Mysore dt), Papireddipatti (Dharmapuri dt), and Omalur (Salem dt) recorded rainfall of 1 Centimetre each On Tuesday, the maximum temperature fell at one or two places over Coastal Andhrapradesh, North Coastal Tamil Nadu and changed little elsewhere over the region.

They were appreciably to markedly above normal at a few places over South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, North Tamil Nadu, appreciably above normal at one or two places over Coastal Karnataka, above normal at one or two places over Kerala and were generally normal over the rest of the region.

Rentachintala recorded the highest maximum temperature of 45 degree Celsius in the region.

Forecast valid until Friday Morning: Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala and Lakshadweep. Mainly dry weather will prevail over Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
