"Har Ghar Swadeshi, Ghar-Ghar Swadeshi - Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami"

Haldwani, October 14

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami urged the Bharatiya Janata Party's social media team to actively engage with the public to make Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "Adopt Swadeshi Campaign" more effective.

He held a coordination meeting with the BJP's social media in-charges and organisational office bearers in Haldwani on Monday.

Chief Minister Dhami said that Prime Minister Modi has taken a significant step toward promoting indigenous products by reducing GST rates. He added that continuous awareness programs are being organised across the state to expand this campaign on a wider scale.

Addressing the social media team, the Chief Minister emphasised the crucial role they must play through digital platforms in encouraging the use of Swadeshi products, so that the message of "Har Ghar Swadeshi, Ghar-Ghar Swadeshi" can reach every household.

Speaking to the media, Chief Minister Dhami stated that this year's Char Dham Yatra was historic and well-organised. He informed that a new helicopter service policy (SOP) has been prepared with the help of the central government to extend air services to the remote regions of the state for the convenience of pilgrims.

The Chief Minister affirmed that the state government is taking every possible step for public welfare and development, moving swiftly toward the goal of a "Viksit Uttarakhand" (Developed Uttarakhand).

Earlier, CM Singh Dhami on Sunday attended the Diwali Fair organised by the International Vaishya Mahasammelan at GMS Road, Dehradun, and extended his warm greetings to all present on the festival of lights, said the release.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister paid homage to Maharaja Agrasen and extended his heartfelt advance greetings and best wishes for Diwali to everyone present.

According to an official release, he said that the festival of Diwali is a unique medium to infuse positive energy into our lives, inspiring us to move from darkness to light and from evil to goodness.

The Chief Minister said that the Vaishya community has, for centuries, served as a torchbearer of Sanatan culture, spreading the light of cooperation, harmony and development throughout society.

"The community stands as a symbol of our nation's economic, social and cultural strength and has always extended generous support for the protection of Sanatan Dharma and the promotion of social welfare," CM Dhami said.

Good initiative but implementation matters. Hope this doesn't remain just another slogan. The social media team needs to create engaging content that actually connects with youth.

While I appreciate the sentiment, I hope the campaign focuses on quality too. Swadeshi products need to match international standards if we want people to consistently choose them over foreign brands.
