My family visited Pahalgam last month and we paid our respects at Shaheed Marg. It's a somber but important stop. The beauty of Kashmir should not be overshadowed by fear. Kudos to our armed forces for keeping the area secure.

While the memorial is a good gesture, I hope the government is also providing adequate support and compensation to the families of the victims. That's the real tribute. Life must go on for them.

Operation Sindoor was a necessary and powerful response. We stand with our jawans. Visiting these places is a way to show that terrorism cannot win. More power to the tourists who are going.

As a traveler, I appreciate the honest accounts from the tourists quoted. Security perception is everything. If locals and visitors feel safe, it's the best way to rebuild. A poignant memorial.
