A, 68-year-old Indian-origin businessman named Darshan Singh Sahsi was killed in Canada's Abbotsford on Monday morning (local time), reported the Vancouver Sun.

In a news release by the Abbotsford Police, the patrol officers discovered the victim's body while he was suffering from life-threatening injuries. The victim was taken to the hospital, where he succumbed to death due to his wounds. The investigation into the matter is in the early stages, reported the Vancouver Sun.

The authenticity of the post is being verified by Police agencies in India and Canada, and possible links to the Bishnoi network operating abroad are being investigated.

So sad to see our community members facing violence abroad. The journalist described him as a gentle, helpful person while the gang claims he was in drug trade. Which version is true? Need proper investigation.

As someone living in Canada, this worries me deeply. The police say it's not linked to extortion cases, but gang violence is spreading. Our communities need better protection.

Why are Indian gangs operating in Canada? This is giving our diaspora a bad name. We need stronger cooperation between Indian and Canadian authorities to tackle this menace.

The police investigation seems slow. They have the car details and suspect description - hope they catch the culprit soon. No one deserves to die like this.

Very tragic. Whether he was involved in illegal activities or not, taking law in your own hands is never justified. Hope the truth comes out and justice is served. 🙏

The contrast between how the journalist describes him and what the gang claims is stark. Either way, violence is not the solution. This gang culture needs to end.
