The Indian squad will be led by flamboyant forward Araijeet Singh Hundal, who has consistently impressed with his attacking prowess and leadership qualities. Defender Amir Ali, known for his composure and experience at the back, has been named Vice-Captain.

Coach Sreejesh's approach makes sense - focus on development rather than just winning. These young players need exposure before the big World Cup at home. Though I wish there were more matches against European teams in the lead-up.

The midfield looks particularly strong with players like Manmeet and Rosan. But I'm concerned about our defense - hope they can handle the pressure against teams like Australia who play very physical hockey. Need to work on penalty corners too!

So proud to see players from different regions of India representing the nation together! From Manipur (Kingson, Luwang) to Jharkhand (Kujur) to Punjab (Hundal) - hockey truly unites our diverse country. Jai Hind! ✨

Good selection overall, but I think we're missing a specialist drag flicker in the squad. In high-pressure tournaments, PC conversions make all the difference. Hope the coaching staff is working on this aspect before the World Cup.
