Future of Punjab rests on your strong shoulders: Manish Sisodia extends birthday wishes to CM Mann

AAP leader Manish Sisodia extends warm birthday wishes to Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, expressing confidence in his leadership for Punjab's future development and progress.

"The future of Punjab rests on your strong shoulders. - Manish Sisodia"

New Delhi, October 17

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia extended warm wishes to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on the occasion of his 52nd birthday on Friday.

"Heartfelt birthday wishes to my dear friend, the commander of Mission Rangla Punjab, Chief Minister @BhagwantMann ji. I pray to God that your dream of making "Rangla Punjab" a reality comes true. The future of Punjab rests on your strong shoulders. May God keep you healthy, happy, and full of energy, and may you continue to serve the people of Punjab as Chief Minister for a long time, he wrote on the social media platform X.

Meanwhile, Bhagwant Mann on Saturday called for justice in the wake of the alleged suicide of Haryana IPS officer Y Puran Kumar, urging the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led Central and Haryana governments to "speak with the bereaved family, respect their sentiments and ensure justice is delivered."

Speaking to reporters after visiting the late IPS officer's residence and meeting his family, the Punjab Chief Minister said, "The family is demanding justice. I request the Chief Minister of Haryana and the Central Government to stand with this family. You can't disregard the law to protect one person. No one is above the law. Justice should be done."

Earlier in the day, CM Mann visited the residence of Y Puran Singh in Chandigarh.

IPS officer Y Puran Kumar allegedly died by suicide on October 7 at his residence in Chandigarh. In a 'final note' reportedly left behind, he accused eight senior police officers, including Haryana Director General of Police (DGP) Shatrujeet Kapur and Rohtak SP Narendra Bijarniya, of "blatant caste-based discrimination, targeted mental harassment, public humiliation and atrocities."

Appreciate CM Mann taking a stand for the IPS officer's family. Caste discrimination has no place in our country. Hope the Haryana government ensures justice is served properly.

While birthday wishes are nice, I hope the AAP leadership focuses more on delivering actual governance rather than social media exchanges. Punjab needs concrete solutions to farmer issues and unemployment.

Good to see political leaders supporting each other across states. The IPS officer case is indeed tragic and needs thorough investigation. No one should face discrimination in their workplace.

The IPS officer's suicide highlights serious systemic issues in our police forces. CM Mann is right - no one should be above the law. This case needs proper investigation without political interference.
