Heartbreaking to hear about this accident. These poor pilgrims were just going about their religious duties. The canal barriers need immediate inspection across UP - this isn't the first such incident.

While the compensation is good, Rs 5 lakh is not enough to sustain a family that's lost its breadwinner. The government should also provide job opportunities to family members.

As someone who has traveled on these rural roads, I can say the conditions are often dangerous. There needs to be better driver training and vehicle maintenance checks for pilgrim transport.

So tragic! 😢 The President and CM's prompt response shows they care, but prevention is better than compensation. Why wait for accidents to happen? Safety audits should be regular.

Respectfully, while condolences are important, we need to ask why such accidents keep happening in UP. Is it just bad roads or also issues with vehicle overloading and poor maintenance?

May their souls rest in peace. The local administration should organize counseling for the survivors and families - such trauma needs professional help, not just financial aid.
