Good to see proactive measures being taken before monsoon hits! Last year's floods in Barpeta were devastating. Hope the NDRF teams and rescue boats are properly maintained this time. The government should also focus on long-term solutions like better drainage systems.

The crop insurance drive for farmers is much needed 👏. But will the compensation reach them on time? Past experiences show delays in payout. Also, why only 8.4 lakh target when Assam has over 30 lakh farmers? Need more inclusive coverage!

As someone from Dibrugarh, I appreciate the NDRF deployment in our district. But what about medical preparedness? Floods bring waterborne diseases - are enough medicines and doctors being positioned? That's equally important as rescue boats.

The coordination between departments looks good on paper, but implementation is key. Last year there was confusion between ASDMA and local authorities. Hope they've learned from past mistakes. Also, why no mention of protecting wildlife during floods? Kaziranga suffers every year.

Good initiative but needs public awareness too! Many villagers ignore early warnings. ASDMA should run awareness campaigns in local languages through radio, WhatsApp etc. Prevention is better than cure, as we say in Hindi - "Sawdhani hati, durghatna ghati"

While the preparations seem thorough, what about post-flood rehabilitation? Every year people lose homes and livelihoods. The government must plan for temporary shelters and quick compensation distribution. Also, why no mention of protecting schools and hospitals specifically?
