Earlier today, AIADMK general secretary Edapaddi K. Palaniswami confirmed that the PMK has joined hands with the NDA for the polls

Ramadoss mentioned that Dravida Munnetra Kazagham (DMK) were able to win the previous three elections as the opposition was fragmented; however, in the present time, under Palaniswami's leadership, it has united, and more parties are expected to join the NDA.

"We will form the government with a thumping majority...DMK won the last three elections because the opposition was fragmented, now we have a very good opposition under the AIADMK and more parties will also join us," A Ramadoss told reporters.

Further, the PMK supremo said he met with the AIADMK general secretary to confirm his inclusion in the NDA, adding that his party will contest the election under Palaniswami's leadership.

He said that the Tamil Nadu people are very angry with the ruling DMK regime, stressing that women's safety, farmers, and unemployment are key issues in the state.

"Today I met the leader of AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi Palaniswami and confirmed the alliance of Pattali Makkal Katchi with the AIADMK-led front for the Tamil Nadu assembly elections and we will contest the elections under the leadership of the AIADMK in Tamil Nadu and we will come to power...The people of Tamil Nadu are very angry with the ruling party DMK, women safety, farmers are very angry, unemployment, and social justice are issues," Ramadoss told reporters.

Earlier in the day, AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi Palaniswami announced the inclusion of Pattali Makkal Katchi in the state's National Democratic Alliance ahead of the forthcoming Tamil Nadu elections.

Addressing a press briefing in Chennai alongside PMK chief Anbumani Ramadoss, Palaniswami asserted that they are already in an alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party and expressed the possibility of including more parties in their bloc.

"The PMK president Anbumani Ramadoss, has also joined the NDA alliance; more parties are also expected to join the alliance. Our alliance is a victory alliance," Palaniswami told reporters.

Promises before every election 🤦‍♀️. The same cycle repeats. I'll believe it when I see actual work on the ground for women's safety and unemployment. Right now, it just sounds like another political merger for power.

Good move by PMK. A strong, united opposition is healthy for democracy. DMK needs to be kept on its toes. Hope this alliance focuses on real issues like farmers' distress and social justice, not just caste equations.

As a young voter from Coimbatore, unemployment is my biggest worry. I don't care which alliance it is, I will vote for whoever presents a clear, actionable plan for job creation. All talk, no action won't work anymore.

Interesting development. Watching from abroad, Tamil Nadu politics is always vibrant. A consolidated NDA front could change the dynamics significantly. Will be following this closely.

Ramadoss is right about one thing - people are angry. But will this new alliance channel that anger into positive change? Or is it just old wine in a new bottle? The leadership needs to show humility and a concrete vision for Tamil Nadu's future.
